What do you need in a Cornish Holiday Rental Property

A short walk to the beach

The beaches of Cornwall are always different. Through the seasons, through the day, through different weather and through different tides. You’ll want to experience the beach at all times and frequently more than once a day. Kids get cold and want a shower. People get bored. Some never want to leave while others do. A walk with the dogs at sunrise or sunset. A trip for an ice cream. An evening drink watching the sun go down in the west. You really don’t want to drive each time and being close to the beach may give your children independence too.

Parking is always a problem, especially in the height of Summer. Everywhere nearly everywhere close to a beach in Cornwall.

Space – Inside and Out

Sometimes it rains. But mostly it doesn’t but, you still need your space, holidays can bring their own stresses and conflicts. When it does rain, space inside cannot be under-valued.

I you have a multi-generational group, somewhere to sit in a quiet garden is often appreciated too.

Parking

Paring is always a problem in the towns and near the beaches. It is really important to be able to park, perhaps multiple vehicles, at your rental.

Its ever better if you can leave your car parked all week and just walk!!

Somewhere Sheltered

If its sunny on the beach, it is probably windy too. This is a good thing, especially for surfers and bodyboarders. Cornwall was built by the wind and is the home of the windbreak!

But, you will want a break from the wind when you go home (or put your windbreak up in the garden). A garden that sits in the wind gets annoying quickly, especially when you want to sit out or have a peaceful BBQ.

A SunTrap

If you are going to out of the wind, you need somewhere that benefits from the Sun. The North Cornish coast has the best surfing and beaches for a reason, the weather. But beware, North facing towns, face north and frequently leave their visitors in the afternoon shade. Make sure you can enjoy later afternoon sunlight.

Some quiet

The holiday hotspots hustle and bustle, but sometimes you just need some peace and quiet. You won’t find that on the beach, for good reason.

Somewhere Safe to Play

If you have children with you, somewhere away from the road, secure and fenced, with space for various types of play, is invaluable. You don’t want the kids cramped inside if you can avoid it.

How about a BBQ?

There are loads of places to eat out, but its really nice to cook your own BBQ in your own garden on a quiet, sunny evening.

Full Fibre Broadband

A 21st Century demand. The Perranporth area was as early trial site for Fibre Broadband and can deliver Full Fibre directly into the property enabling throughput for all your mobile devices, Prime Firesticks, Games etc. Without Full Fibre you may find you struggle for throughput.
