Out of the Water

Cornwall is full of outdoor activities.  Here are some of our favourites.

Cycling

Coast – to – Coast:  Portreath <-> Devoran.  Mostly paths, off-road or on very quiet roads.  It passes through an abandoned mining valley.  Punbs at both ends and in the middle.  It is long but gentle rise from the sea in each direction.  Some level of  fitness needed.

Bike Hire:  Several places along the route

The Camel Trail:  An old mining track so very gentle.  You can start at Padstow, but parking is easier at Wadebridge and gives you the option to cycle inland past Bodmin as well.  Most people cycle to Padstow and back.   Great for small kids new to cycling.

Golf

Perranporth Golf Club

Brilliant Links Course o the dunes above the beach.  Great Greens, many, many hidden shots.  Great views.

Holywell Bay:  10 miles north

Par 3

Pitch and Putt

Crazy Golf

Friendly environment, great views of Holywell;  it can be very windy.

Tennis

Perranporth Tennis Club.

200 Yards from the house towards the Beach.

Hang Gliding / Parasailing

Day Trials and Tandem Flights over the cliffs.

Horse Riding

Treks along the beach and inland.

Dancing

Ceroc Cornwall, very welcoming and fun.  Classes on a Monday night, just outside Camborne.  About a 20 minute drive.
